DogeDesigner@cb_doge· Aug 20, 2026This is why @Grok Build is a game changer. I had never used Blender in my life, yet on Day 1, with zero experience, I created this iPhone render from scratch with the help of Grok Build.

X is the social media platform where the top people from every field post and share information. It is where you listen in if you want to know which way Western civilization is headed. No other platform has the prestige that X does. It is just a fact.

Kevin Bass@kevinnbass· Aug 19, 2026Elon Musk is the single most important driver of the vibe shift across the West. He allowed people to speak. He reversed the mind virus. X provided the antibodies for the mind virus. They are working. It was an extraordinary achievement, one on par with his other work.

Grok @Bot has its own remote computer @SpaceXAI, so keeps working even when you close your laptop or reboot your desktop.
Big difference.
Avi Chawla@_avichawla· Aug 20, 2026OpenClaw vs. Hermes vs. Grok @bot, clearly explained:
All three let you set up an agent with a specific job, and it keeps its files and logins between sessions instead of starting fresh.
OpenClaw and Hermes are self-hosted, so the machine can be a laptop, a VPS, or a container

The reality is that most people unthinkingly believe whatever their political tribe tells them to believe.
Like an NPC in a video game.
stevenmarkryan@stevenmarkryan· Aug 20, 2026Elon is correct.
Also, NPCs will loose their mind over Elon's post because they were told what to believe and did NOT look into the facts of the case and prefer to be guided by emotions, not truth & reason.
I posted about this on Patreon at the start of 2025.

this is a very sobering read. main thesis is in section 5:
> Our conjecture is that a modern society makes the third child expensive and childlessness cheap, even when GDP per capita is only a fraction of the frontier (i.e., the U.S. level). Children are expensive because a child must be equipped to function in a world of formal knowledge and credentials, which takes years of costly investment (Restuccia and Vandenbroucke, 2013, Doepke and Zilibotti, 2019). At the same time, children are no longer productive in the household, not even for smaller chores, having been replaced by “engines of liberation” such as the electric appliances now available even to poor households (this idea extends the intuition in Greenwood et al., 2005). Modernity also imposes tight career schedules, set by large-scale organizations, that collide with the biological clock and with the kin networks that used to share the work of raising children (Adda et al., 2017, Compton and Pollak, 2014). And modernity makes childlessness cheap, because an impersonal society imposes next to no penalty on those who have no children: pensions and health care do the work that sons and daughters once did (Boldrin et al., 2015), and lineage counts for little.
> Goldin (2026) pushes this line further with an argument about a growing mismatch between genders. Modernity also changes gender roles unevenly. Women’s opportunities expand rapidly through education, work, and greater independence, while expectations about housework and childcare often change more slowly (Goldin and Katz, 2002, Goldin, 2021). This is particularly true as economies shift toward services, where women’s comparative advantages are better rewarded (Ngai and Petrongolo, 2017). The mismatch operates at both the extensive and the 18 intensive margins: more women remain childless, and mothers have fewer children on average.
> This argument is attractive because it explains why East Asia and now Latin America have such low TFRs. These are the societies where the gender mismatch is largest.19 It also suggests an intriguing possibility: societies with highly unbalanced gender norms start with very high TFRs, as men impose their preferences (Ashraf et al., 2014), and end with very low ones, as women resist (Doepke and Kindermann, 2019, Doepke and Tertilt, 2018). A paradoxical reversal of demographic fortunes.
...
> In short, modernity in its current form seems largely incompatible with replacement-level fertility.

I gave Elon Musk's new Grok Bot an org chart instead of a to-do list, and in one week I stopped being a founder who does the work and became one who assigns it.
eight bots. one org chart. nobody sleeps but me. here's the whole design, steal it.
step 1 → 0:01 What we're covering
step 2 → 2:01 Installation & Setup
step 3 → 3:14 Building the First Bot
step 4 → 8:18 Teaching by Screen Recording
step 5 → 14:18 Putting it All Together
THE ROSTER:
Atlas, chief of staff. the only bot I talk to. I give it outcomes, never tasks. it decomposes them and delegates to the team in group chat, and it never does specialist work itself. it posts the plan every morning and what shipped every night, and it only comes to me when a decision is irreversible or spends money.
Scout, research. finds and qualifies my ICP. every day: 25 verified prospects, one line on why they need us right now, and a source. if it can't verify, it marks it unverified. it never guesses.
Quill, content. turns what the company learned this week into 5 posts and 1 long piece, in my voice, matched from the last 50 things I wrote. drafts only, it never publishes.
Pitch, outbound. writes a first touch and two follow-ups for everyone Scout marks ready. 60 words max, one specific observation about their business, one clear ask. queued in drafts, I approve in bulk.
Vault, inbox and ops. triages everything into needs-me, needs-a-bot, needs-nothing. it handles the last, routes the middle, and gives me five bullets on the first by 9am.
Ledger, analyst. one report a night: what moved, what didn't, and the single number I should care about tomorrow. no dashboards, no adjectives.
HOW THEY'RE WIRED
one group chat per outcome, not per person. Atlas sits in all of them. the bots hand off inside the chat, so I only read the handoff, I never manage it.
two rules that made this actually work:
1. every charter ends with a hard "never do this without asking" line. autonomy without a fence is just chaos on a schedule.
2. show once, don't describe. I ran the full workflow on my screen one time. that single demo taught them more than a page of instructions ever could.
WEEK ONE
214 verified prospects delivered. 89 personalized outreaches queued and approved. inbox at zero every morning. 11 content pieces ready.
THE POINT
most people are still treating Grok Bot like a smarter chat window. it isn't. it's the first time one person can own an org chart instead of a to-do list. my bottleneck was never how much I could do, it was how much I could hand off.
bookmark this.

I am bewildered, and not very impressed, by the visceral, naked, irrational hatred spat out by some defenders of Jason Arday. If a Cambridge professor is accused of being an unqualified charlatan, the accusation might be racially motivated. On the other hand it might not, depending on the evidence. The correct question to ask is not, ”What is the colour of his skin” but “Is it in fact true that he is an unqualified charlatan?” Please examine the evidence before leaping to the assumption of racism.
As for the idea that journalists “piled in on him” and “hounded him to his death”, most attacks were against Cambridge University. Jason himself was widely regarded as an unfortunate victim of foolish promotion way beyond his ability to cope. In appointing him to a professorship for which he was manifestly unqualified – in ludicrously describing him as “the best in the world” – certain senior members of the university showed a level of patronising condescension towards black people that could fairly be described as racism, while at the same time making him tragically vulnerable to such attacks as came his way.

The sex difference in throwing is one of the largest behavioral sex differences ever measured. While training matters, the disparity appears to be mostly biological.
Yet Anne Fausto-Sterling argues in favor of pure socialization while ignoring a mountain of evidence to the contrary.
Few scholars claim to deny biology outright, with most agreeing that nature and nurture interact. In practice, however, they routinely reject biological explanations in favor of comparatively implausible environmental ones.
They pay lip service to biology, but never actually allow it to explain anything.
This new long read by professors Robert Deaner and Mike Lombardo examines the science of throwing, hunting, and combat, and ask a simple question:
What evidence would actually be allowed to count as evidence for an innate sex difference?

Air travel is fundamentally a different service in the age of @Starlink. What I’m paying for is an Internet Cafe in the sky. Why would I pay for 6 hours at a Net Cafe without Internet? It’s more important than a bed. If Starlink is advertised and not working it’s kidnapping.
