~4.5X increase in params should be ready for wide release later this year.
Super frugal use of memory bandwidth, caching exactly what is needed & squeezing microseconds out of everything are needed to maintain the frame rate.
And the whole system needs to be retrained.

High likelihood IMO that Tesla signs a FSD licensing deal with at least one automaker by end of year. Will likely take a couple years for the automaker to actually integrate the FSD hardware and sell the cars, but I think the announcement will be a surprise to most

The automakers keep being told that this isn’t real or that just buying some hardware from Nvidia will solve it.
As Tesla robotaxis become widespread and their other solutions don’t work, they will naturally turn to us.

It’s a new version of software, but will merge to main branch soon.
We have a more advanced model in alpha stage that has ~4X the params, but still requires a lot of polishing.
That’s probably ready for deploy in a few months.

BANNON: 90% of SpaceX’s revenue comes from gov contracts. They just did a financing at a $318B valuation. I think he owns 50%, so he’s made $100-$150B in net worth on gov contracts. Why do we not have warrants or options, huge packages for the American taxpayer as part of that?

SpaceX revenue this year will be $15.5B and NASA is only $1.1B.
For that NASA revenue, SpaceX does all astronaut transport to the Space Station at roughly half the cost of Boeing, who thus far has failed to complete a single astronaut back and had to be rescued by SpaceX! It wasn’t some “gift”.
If Bannon’s dumb as fuck reasoning made any sense, then anyone who bought products from any company would automatically own that company.
