You can learn anything online for free these days. Universities have basically become social clubs. That said, at least the technical disciplines do test your ability to do difficult homework for 4 years in a row.

All economies are just productivity per person times population. Japan is losing population at twice rate of creation (~1.6M deaths last year vs ~0.8M births). At a granular level, economic output fluctuates dramatically, with Sunday being terrible & Monday being great.

I think this is mostly right. - LLMs created a whole new layer of abstraction and profession. - I've so far called this role "Prompt Engineer" but agree it is misleading. It's not just prompting alone, there's a lot of glue code/infra around it. Maybe "AI Engineer" is ~usable,

1. Scraping is already disallowed by T&C. 2. The scraping orgs dgaf & mask their IPs through proxy servers or through orgs that appear legit. For example, a recent massive scraping operation originating from Oracle IP addresses was just using their servers as a laundromat. 3. We absolutely will take legal action against those who stole our data & look forward seeing them in court, which is (optimistically) 2 to 3 years from now.

Thwart scraping patterns with infosec engineering, forbid bad forms of scraping in terms of service, add a volume based liquidated damages clause, prominently litigate against large scale commercial abuse.
